How long do I need to stay?
You will need to stay over for 5 to 8 days or longer depending on your treatment. We also offer long term stays of 1 month or more, depending on your needs and budget.
How long does the Ibogaine experience last?
The psycho-visual stage last 8 to 12 hours gradually fading off over the next 24 to 48 hours.
Does it hurt?
The Ibogaine experience is not a pleasurable or recreational one, many people feel very dizzy and nauseous. Not everyone experiences visions and if they do, not everyone will remember them. Opiate addicts in particular are less likely to experience visions. The after affects are what are most important, a feeling of deep calm and a reset to your body and mind. With opiate addiction there will be some restlessness in the days after which is actually a positive sign that the opiate has left the body and is a sign of the brain healing from the effects of opiates. Emotionally the treatment can be painful, self realisation can sometimes be a shock. Leaving a 10+ year addiction is not going to be a walk in the park.
Does it work?
Iboga is a scientifically and culturally proven ethnogen which works for everyone on some level. Some people may need to take it more than once to feel the effects fully, We have the option of various types of treatment which we recommend based on the needs of the individual. The way that you prepare for treatment will be key to the future success of your recovery. The best way to prepare for treatment is to stop, as much as possible, your addiction prior to treatment. If you are on a slow release opiate like Methadone or Suboxone, then it is essential to switch to a short acting opiate at least 3 weeks before treatment. Take your last dose at least 12 hours before treatment. Alcohol should be stopped 2 weeks before treatment. It is very important that you follow our procedure or you may be refused treatment.
What is there to do in the days after?
We cannot stress the importance of as much rest as possible to allow the Iboga to work inside your body. Most people prefer to lie in bed or up on the sun terrace. There is the option of going for a trip in the mountains, beautiful river walks, Valencia’s stunning beaches and Albufera are a short trip away, these relaxing activities allow you to de-stress and unwind as well as getting a healthy dose of the sun. These must be arranged with us and depend on the weather!
How much does it cost?
There are different programs with different prices. Please fill in the treatment application form on the contacts page to give us the best picture and we will send you a price structure, The addiction detox program can vary in length and treatment protocol depending on many factors.
How do you calculate the dosage?
A small person may have more of a tolerance to iboga and another larger person may be more sensitive to iboga. We always buy from the same source where the batches are consistent in their levels of purity. The dosage varies depending on the type of treatment and person, but is based 18-22mg/kg of body weight.
